At Treading The Boards, our Holiday Drama Camps offer an exciting opportunity for young people to explore performance, creativity, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

We run sessions for both Junior (ages 5–8) and Senior (ages 9–13) groups, with each programme carefully tailored to suit the needs, interests, and experience of the age group. Whether your child is completely new to drama or already loves performing, our sessions are designed to be inclusive, engaging, and rewarding.

Across the camp, students take part in a range of activities that develop their acting, storytelling, and collaborative skills. Through games, improvisation, and guided rehearsal, they begin to build confidence in expressing ideas, working as part of a group, and performing in front of others. The week works towards a short sharing or performance, giving students a chance to celebrate what they have created in a relaxed and supportive setting.

Our Junior sessions focus on imagination and creative play, using drama as a way to build confidence, communication, and enjoyment. Younger participants are encouraged to explore characters, stories, and movement in a nurturing environment where participation and enthusiasm are at the heart of the experience.

For our Senior group, sessions place greater emphasis on acting technique, character development, and performance skills. Students are introduced to both scripted and devised work, helping them to deepen their understanding of drama while continuing to build confidence and creativity.

All sessions are led by experienced drama teachers and practitioners, ensuring a balance between structure and fun. Our aim is to create an environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired.
